Online registration for the 6th ‘Afroeuropeans’ network conference on Black Cultures and Identities in Europe (University of Tampere, Finland, 6-8th July 2017) is now open.

The booking fee for delegates is 50 Euros, and a secure online payment can be made via the aforementioned University of Tampere website. In addition, details about booking flights to Finland, and accommodation in Tampere for the dates 6-8th July 2017 are also listed on the conference web pages at: http://www.uta.fi/yky/en/6thafroeuropeans/accommodationandtravel.html.

Keynote presentations over the course of this 3-day international conference will be given by Professor Paul Gilroy (King’s College London); Professor Elisa Joy White (African American and African Studies scholar, University of California at Davis); and LL.M Domenica Ghidei Biidu, Member of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI).

The ‘Fest Afrika’ spoken word, poetry and music festival (http://festafrika.net/en/) will also be taking place at the same time as the conference, specifically on Friday, July 7th and Saturday, July 8th at Klubi/Tampere.
