If anyone is interested in traveling to the Caribbean for our Indigenous Geographies and Caribbean Feminisms: Common Struggles Against Global Capitalism gathering, we would be happy to warmly receive you.

The three-day workshop is supported by an International Workshop Award from the Antipode Foundation (who just extended the deadline for this year’s round) and will take place from Thursday March 30 – Saturday April 1.

…it may prove to be a nice alternative to some of the other conferences going on around that time.

Participants will be arriving from Guyana, Suriname, Belize, Honduras, Dominica, Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA, Canada, and Bolivia.

As of now, we have confirmed 28 contributors, 23 of whom are from Indigenous communities throughout the region, with a select few joining us from other places.

In addition to the local and regional speakers, we will also have three international keynote addresses, which will be given by Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui, Shona Jackson, and Melanie Newton.
